Artist in Residence Project

We are delighted to introduce our new artist in residence, Lily Hawkes.

Lily has taught Art and Design at secondary school level for a number of years and delivered creative workshops in galleries where she has worked with children from a wide range of ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Lily completed her Fine Art degree at The Slade School of Fine Art where she specialised in sculpture. Since graduating she has maintained a strong studio practice and has taken part in local and international residencies and exhibitions. Her artwork usually takes the form of large-scale sculpture or instillation and explores themes including domestic and urban architecture, the body and personal memory.

You can see some of Lily’s work on her website.

Lily will be working with children across key stage 2 on one-to-one and small group projects, as well as continuing her personal work.
