Remote Learning

With school closures in England in response to the Coronavirus, we would like to share some online resources to support your child's learning at home.  Please see below for links to Purple Mash, RockStar Maths, Busy Things and Twinkl.  All these website have a wide range of resources to support learning across the curriculum from Foundation Stage up to Year 6.
 
There are also a few websites offering free daily online lessons for subjects across the curriculum, links to these can be found below.
 
Each class has it's own online learning page where teachers will upload any work specific to their year group.
 
Purple Mash is a website that the school subscribes to.  It enables children to explore and enhance their knowledge in a fun and engaging way across a range of curriculum areas.  All children in school have their own personal login.  Visit the Purple Mash website to login and gain access to the full range of activities as well as 'To Do' task that teachers have set.
 
Times Tables Rock Stars is a website where children can practise their times tables in a fun and enjoyable way as they compete to win coins and move up the leaderboard.  All children have their own login details which they should have received in their home learning packs.  If you do not have the login details for your child's account then please get in touch with your class teacher.
 
Busy Things has allowed children free remote access during school closures.  Visit the Busy Things website and use the following login details to access a full range of educational games and activities for the whole primary age range.

Twinkl is a website that contains thousands of materials to support teaching in all areas of the National Curriculum.  Here you will be able to download teaching PowerPoints as well as worksheets and eBooks.  Twinkl is currently offering all families free access to their entire website with the code UKTWINKLHELPS.

Daily Online Lessons
 
You'll find daily lessons for homeschooling in Maths and English for every year group, as well as regular lessons in Science, History, Geography and more.
 
Oak National Academy is a new collection of high-quality lessons and online resources. Backed by the Government, it has been created in response to the coronavirus lockdown.

The online classroom offers free access to great teachers, delivering video lessons, quizzes and worksheets. Available for both primary and secondary, it covers a range of subjects.  Oak National Academy will fit alongside other resources such as BBC Bitesize. Together, these can offer a structure to the day for children until schools fully reopen.

Letters and Sounds for Home and School

This resource is designed by experts for use during Covid-19 with children who are learning phonics using the Letters and Sounds programme.

New lessons are uploaded every week day during the summer term:

10am – Reception: Suitable for children who can blend and read words such as 'fish', 'chat' and 'rain'

10:30am - Year 1: Suitable for children who can confidently blend and read words such as 'stamp', 'chair' and 'green'

11am - Learning to Blend: blending practise for children in Reception and Year 1

There is a wealth of educational websites that are currently offering free access to support children's learning in the event of school closures.
