Plastic Pollution Assembly 23/11/18
On Friday was the follow up assembly on plastic pollution. Over the half-term holiday children had been busy looking for single-use plastic and considering alternatives, for example by refusing a plastic straw in a cafe or remembering to take a re-usable shopping bag to the shops. Louis, Jhanae and Fred in year 6 worked with children in KS1 and KS2 to put together a presentation of some of their findings. Louis presented some of the work from KS1 and Jhanae and Fred presented KS2. It was a very informative and interesting assembly and great to hear about all the fantastic things the kids are doing to reduce their use of single use plastic.
Certificates were awarded to 2 children in each year group who had demonstrated a commitment to reducing their plastic waste. Keep up the good work!
Remember; reduce, reuse and recycle!
