CAFOD Lent Assembly 2020

This morning we had an assembly to introduce the children's to this year's CAFOD Lent appeal.  Edwina Collins from CAFOD talked to the school about the rights of children and the role of CAFOD in raising money to support communities and children around the world.  It was a very interesting and informative assembly where we learnt about the importance of the worlds rivers, and the amazon river in particular.  Edwina talked about some of the communities in Brasil and Peru that CAFOD supports and the importance the Pope Francis puts on protecting and caring fro our environment and nature.  In March the whole school will be taking part in the CAFOD Lenten appeal to raise money to support the charities work around the world.  You can find out more about this year's CAFOD Lenten appeal here.
