The Prince's Rainforest Project Award and Posters

Year 6 spent 10 weeks working towards the Prince’s Trust Rainforest Project Award.
They looked at the threats to the World’s rainforests, their importance, diversity of species in the forests and indigenous people. Furthermore, they designed posters to raise awareness in the school.

This took them up to award level 3 but to achieve the top award, Year 6 went out to Markfield Park and planted a small woodland of trees. We are hoping this is the beginning of a series of planting projects and we look forward to working with the Woodland Trust in the spring. Let the school know if there are community gardens near you who would be interested in such planting projects.
